What Is The Proper Wording To Inform Friends And Family Of A Cruise Wedding, Bear In Mind That We'd Like Them To Come At Their Expense?

My fiance' and I will plan a cruise wedding. We have decided to pay for our close family and friends. However, we'd like to make our plans known to others so that anyone that would care to join us on the cruise, and can afford the trip, may. How do you tell people, "hey, we're getting married and if you want to be there book the cruise."

In the case that you have described above, you need to give special attention to the invitation wording as it might become offensive for people. I would suggest use something like
" We would like to announce our wedding celebrations taking place at the so and so cruise. The per person charges are so and so. We would be delightful to have you and your family. A copy of the informative brochure is attached. "
