    Burton Latimer is in Northamptonshire in England. It is a town in which 7,100 people live. It gradually expanded around the footwear and carpet weaving industries in the 19th century. Some of its important buildings are the Norman Parish church - St Mary whose rectors include Francis Browne Newman and Louis Hubert Lethbridge. The church contains some beautiful medieval murals. The only wind farm in Northhamptonshire is situated in Burton Latimer. Weetabix Food Company employs many of the locals.

    The first mention of Burton Latimer is in the survey of Domesday in 1086. This also says Earl Ralph held 'Burtone' (the old name of Burton Latimer) before the Norman Conquest.

    The main places of worship here include a Baptist Chapel, a Methodist Chapel, and A Roman Catholic church in addition to the Parish Church. Some of the leisure spots in Burton Latimer are the Electric Place Cinema and the Burton Coffee House.
