Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

While Mother's Day is a wonderful day celebrated almost all over the world, the exact date on which it is observed on is different. For instance, in the United Kingdom as well as in Ireland it is marked on the fourth Sunday which comes in Lent. This year it will thus fall on March 18, 2007.

In a large number of countries including United States, Austria, Canada, Malaysia and South Africa, Mother's Day is observed every second Sunday each May. Thus it will be celebrated this year on May 13, 2007. In Russia on the other hand, it will be honoured on last Sunday falling in November.

When it comes to the United Kingdom, it is 'Mothering Sunday' which is commonly referred to as "Mothers' Day".
