The measurement of demography is used for various purposes, which is why the statistics departments of various countries use it to decide the allocation of budget. They use it to understand the long-term context and the consequences that demographic shifts have, in order to decide on the public policy. They also measure the impact of these things on the creation of wealth and in the current era one of the phenomena that is gaining ground the world over is the labour market; with the measurement of demography they can decide what kind of labour force is working in which area.

There are some other uses also that are to be taken into consideration to decide about the reasons to measure demography. And prime among them is to inform public and businesses about the changes so they can use the data to launch new business initiatives.
