Probably yes. Even for good synthetic oil a year is a while. And while many people might say change oil every 3,000 miles, with a good synthetic you can go much more, maybe 5,000 or 10,000 miles as long as the filter is changed too.

I would drive the vehicle for no more than a week, then change the oil and maybe even the radiator fluid while you are at it. :)
