Your motor is blown that spins the disc so you need to get a new PS2

I actually accidentally dropped the ps2 slim and the impact MOVED a MECHANICAL component in the laser unit... Search on youtube how to disassemble the ps2 slim. After opening the case, you'll see the laser unit. Now, the actual laser lens glides along a pair of 'rails' - if we can use that term - the impact simply tilted on the 'rails' sidewards, which prevented the lens from gliding towards the centre of the disc and spin it. The very rail that i needed to correct is the gold/copper coloured one. Just push such that it becomes aligned parallel to the the other rail. You'll hear a click when it's in the correct position. Now, i stress nothing was broken... And tbh i think that sony designed it to be easily moved off so that they can charge you a whole new laser unit... I'm sorry about the long read and i hope it helps you... Please spread the word.
