How Do I Choose A New Television?

Obviously, televisions range far and wide, and people are slowly moving over to the digital age, between 2008 and 2011, the analogue service will be cancelled in the UK, so everyone will need some form of digital receiver. Many new televisions have the digital receiver built into the television. You can choose between Cathode Tube Ray, this is a less expensive step than the Flat Panel which is more expensive but comes in LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and Plasma, these are the larger televisions, from about thirty seven inches up to a massive sixty three inch screens.

Look for integrated digital television stickers (IDTV) and perhaps these days you will want to look out for High Definition Televisions, for when HDTV channels begin airing.

You should look at sound quality too. Will it have NICAM stereo, a two channel built in speaker set or will it give Virtual Surround via the two channels, or perhaps you will get a home cinema set which has Dolby 5.1 surround sound with multiple speakers.
