    UNESCO: United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization was established in 1945 fro the purpose of advancing the cause of international peace and welfare of mankind through good educational and cultural relations. Its aim is to promote peace and security to create universal respect for justice, for the rule of law, for human rights and freedom of all people without distinction of race, sex, language or language.

    UNESCO (United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization) promotes international exchange of knowledge and ideas through conferences and other contacts among scientists, scholars, writers and educationists and artists around the world. It helps governments in projects such as improving literacy, training of teachers, library development, training of journalists and improving scientific and technical education. It has 160 members and its headquarters is in Paris.

    UNESCO (United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization) ahs helped Pakistan in maintenance and preservation of cultural heritage such as Moenjodaro which was hit by the menace of salinity. Protection and preservation of other historical sites was also taken up. It provides funds and experts for this purpose.
