Ecstasy is the street name for the highly addictive drug called methylenedioxymethamphetamine. It has hallucinogenic properties. It may stay in a user's system for about three to five days and will vary depending on the person's height, weight and regularity of intake.

Ecstasy is typically detectable for a day to three days in a person's urine after use. Although less than a percent of ecstasy would remain in the system after two days from the time of intake. However it is hard to conceal the drug presence in the system since an ecstasy user would test positive for amphetamines.

Ecstasy induces a sense of openness, honesty, empathy, well being and euphoria in the user. In some users it has been known to enhance their tactile sensations thereby making any physical contact they might experience while under the influence highly pleasurable.
