    Thundersley is a district in the county of Essex. Essex is a county located in the East of England region. Thundersley is located in the district of Castle Point. Thundersley is located in the southwest of the county of Essex and forms a large part of the northern quarter of the district of Castle Pont Borough Council. It is located at a distance of about 35 miles to the east of London. It was the production centre of Greeves motorcycles for the 23-year period between the years 1953 and 1976.

    Thundersley is bound by the A127 road to the north, the A130 road to the west, the A13 road to the south and the A129 road to the east. A triangular salient is located further southwards, which extends to Benfleet Road and Thundersley Glen. The neighbouring districts of Thundersley are Rayleigh to the north, Basildon to the west, the South Benfleet district of Castle Point to the south and Daws Heath (a part of the Parish of Thundersley) and Hadleigh to the east.
