Which Were The Two Television Channels That Went Off-air Recently In Pakistan?

Two of the most popular private television channels in Pakistan, Geo and Aaj TV went off-air recently in various parts of Pakistan.  While Geo, which belongs to the Jang Group of Newspapers, went off-air throughout Pakistan, Aaj Television faced this  blackout only in the cities of Lahore and Islamabad, which is the state capital.  According to the portal of the Jang group of newspapers to which Geo belongs to, this blackout is the simple and predictable action on behalf of the government for reasons, which are although only known to them yet the public has clear ideas of the reasons, which were behind the blackout that these two channels faced.  

As loudly as the government of Pakistan blows its trumpet in being media freedom champions, this action on behalf of the government clearly belies these hollow claims, which becomes a serious menace for the people of Pakistan who are being deprived of the basic privileges in life such as media freedom.
