sigh. fvigil? You need to be more specific about just what you need to fix on your psp. There are too many things that can need repair to just ask where to find step-by-step instructions on how to fix it. It's like asking where you can go to learn how to fix your computer. You will find many sites that have a tremendous amount of info, and people willing to help with your specific problem, if you are specific on a good search engine. For example: 'How to replace a psp lcd screen' or 'How to upgrade my psp's firmware'...
    Good luck.?

mike_s_9? The trouble you are experiencing is called 'bricked' it most likely happened when you were upgrading your firmware. It's usually caused by the unit losing power during the flash process, by someone pulling the battery out, turning it off before the process is complete, or dropping it during the flash process.
There are only two ways to recover a psp that has been bricked.
1: Return the unit to Sony and have them reset it and restore the firmware to whatever revision they choose (this will cost you some money. At least shipping, if not billable hours in the event your unit is out of the warranty period) or:
2: Have a friend that has a hacked psp make what is called a 'Pandora Battery' using software they download from the internet. This device allows them to unbrick any psp, and drop the firmware to 1.5, allowing them to then upgrade the firmware to whatever level you choose, or allow you to install custom (hacked) firmware.
Otherwise, your psp is just a shiny paperweight.
    Best of luck.
