The Sabbath refers to Saturday, which the Old Testament calls "the day of rest," in commemoration of the six days God took to create the world. A holy day of rest and worship- Ex 20:8 " rember the sabbath day and keep it holy".

The answer to your question, in my point of veiw, is.
In Genesis 2 verse 2: "And on the 7th day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested from all his workwhich he had made. ( verse 3)- "And God blessed the 7th day and sanctified it : because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made".
So in a nutshell, God blessed the 7th day
but what is the 7th day- saturday or sunday
I think sunday, why because it is in memory of Jesus Christ's resurrection
Jesus died on a Friday and ressurected on a Sunday
