Is He Ever Going To Keep His Word To Me?
My boyfriend and I just got back together after a nasty break up. One of our major problems have been him not being able to keep his word to me. He promises to do things that he just does not do (ex. Tells me he'll be home at a certain time or promises to go somewhere like church but when its time he changes his mind). We suppose to be working things out; why is it that he can't do simple things that he gives his word on in order for us to work?

It seems like you are the only one making all the compromises in your relationship. You should communicate your feelings to him and explain him your situation. If he cares for you, he will respond. If he does not, then he is only taking you for granted. You should not take that behavior from him.

Maybe one of his biggest problems is commitment. He's probably not ready and might be frighten to make sure everything is all right. If its just once in a while its probably not a big deal but if you see patterns then you might want to check out what's happening or confort him and ask him what's wrong. One of the biggest parts of a relationship is honesty and if you don't have that then its pretty hard to build a relationship. However DON'T jump to conclusions and accused him of doing something without proof. If you do so it can lead to a bigger problem. If it helps you might want to see into his past relationships, sometimes things tend to repeat. Evaluate your relationship and see if its really worth it. DON'T build your life around someone else. Maybe both of you are in different parts of your lives.
