Can Condom Prevent The Spreading Of Herpes Sores?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Herpes is a sexually transmitted disease and the best way to limit the disease from getting transmitted is to use protection in the shape of condoms. They can limit the transmission of herpes simplex infection. But remember condoms are still not that reliable and are not hundred percent protective.

However certain herpes blisters can not be covered by the condoms and can be present on the area which the condom does not cover. Even the free virus which can be released in the form of a fluid, from a female vagina, can transmit the herpes infection and can come in contact with the base of the penis or the male testicles.

A public health survey showed that a huge population of people do not use protection at all and refrain from using condoms. The use of condoms can only limit the transmission of herpes but can not prevent a person from getting it because it does not cover all parts of the male genitals.

Even if a person is wearing a condom, it does not guarantee that the wearer will not transmit the disease to the female. Or if there is a female, infected with herpes will not be able to transmit the disease to the male, especially if they have an out break.
