Did you not read the 1st note- we have a Humana plan and have for 2 years - that is not the issue.. CVS is not issue - Issue is trying to find a source, that I can access from anywhere I happen to be - I travel a lot in the consulting business.. Where I can assist her, via web.. and she's supported by UPS/FedEx etc . within some 1-2 day time frame.. That way, she's not having to travel, at 89 years young ..
Faitly simple on surface - get's harder as one gets further into this arena..
What's hostile1.com?? Kindness is not aspect either,, as opportunities for CVS or whoever has been their from start - it's their respect processes that are the reasons for alternate solutions.. Case i point - tell me your perspective in this scenario..
Doctor writes 3 prescriptions, 2 on one paper, 1 on another. CVS store in local hometown, can fill items 1 and 3 - have to order 2 ,,, But CVS in town 15 miles away. has number 2 in house, can fill now - no back orders. Can CVS support the customer and fill all orders 'today'??

I would suggest that you talk to the pharmacy that your mother currently deals with. This way she already knows them, and they know her. If they don't have a site, then maybe they can recommend one to you. Hope this helps, good luck to you.

I'm awed in that response. The whole idea was to go online and have delivery supported.. Anybody that has any dealings with any local pharmacy of any name will understand the issues involved, especially the aspects that most at very very limited in their ability/desire to support anything outside the scope of day-to-day business rules.. This arena is very controlled by local state regulations and DEA aspects.. Basically, I'm trying to 'work outside the box' in this support.. I understand all aspects of what good intentions that most government orgn's have, but we've just about regulated ourselves into 'big brother is in 100% control'.. Amazing how what should be simply support aspects are 'illegal' and not supported in today's high-tech world.. no longer can fill a partial prescription against a monthly order, pharmacists can 'deny a patient' a prescription, if they deem not required, even with a doctor's new order as during course of month, you had a followup exam w/doctor, he's increasing your prescription based on patient evaluation... if it's for same level of strength, just increase in frequency of usage, they can/will not fill at the pharmacy.. This is one aspect of 'Why' looking for alternative source.. Too many people making decisions about patients health, that are not either the patient or their medical expert..
It's a real eye-opener to be dealing with prescription drugs that are 'controlled'.. Once again, government tries to legislate 'moral issues'..
