How Old Are You Before You Hit Puberty?

Tell him that everyone hits puberty at different ages.  You didn't mention his age, so it's hard to know whether he needs to see a doctor, or not.  Girls mature faster than boys, both physically and emotionally.  It could be just around the corner, so I guess he has to be patient.

It hits at different ages, and boys lag a little behind girls in this stage. My son was on Ritalin for about 2 years when he was in second and third grade, which I understand delays the growing process. He was the smallest kid in his class for some time. Before his entrance into the 9th grade he began puberty and grew like 2 inches, I took him to Tae Kwon Doe, in his 8th grade and over the Summer. When the usual bullies came after him in 9th grade he very nicely set them on their butts. He gained respect and chose his own path. He grew to be 6'1" tall by his graduation and grew some more after that. Puberty is a difficult time for a person. If he has not entered into puberty by age 16, I might consult a Dr. Just to make sure his hormones are working properly. If he is being picked on, I highly recommend a sememster or so of Martial Arts, which are defensive only. Tae Kwon Do, was a good one. It also teaches respect for self and others, and other life skills.

9 but now im 10 puberty is not fun but you grow up and become mature but you go through ALOT of pain lots of my friends started hitting puberty but i just found out i might have my period next year im terrified mostly everything hurts really bad but  not only that iv'e been havind mood swings and get mad often but another thing is i mostly have these things at school the cramps the mood swings and so do my friends so if your in pain cause of puberty boy or girl theres nothing you can do about it but at a certain age you should tell smaller kids to so they know what to do when puberty hits.
