    Well dear!
There are a number of airlines which are providing the cabins for carrying the pets. I have seen the British Airways which carry suitable cabins for the adjustment of the pets. I suggest you a website from where you can select any airline in the world and you can know their pets requirement.

Thanks Jannifer - I have not seen this website before. It seems none of the airlines allow medium size dogs [30lbs] to travel in the cabin - all must fit is small carrier stowed under your seat. My dog will not fit - do you have any other suggestions? Will not ship as cargo - many airlines no longer allow pets as cargo - lots of pet deaths from extreme temperatures and low oxygen levels.

Because, a bigger dog takes up more space.  There is also an insurance risk that is considered.  A bigger animal makes a bigger bite.  A small dog or cat will ride under the seat in a crate, but how would you do that with a larger breed?  I personally wouldn't feel safe riding next to a larger dog that I didn't know while it was flying.  Just look how children behave on a plane.
Cargo is not what it used to be for dogs. Most are safe and pressurized.  It's climate controlled for most airlines and the ones who are not safe, don't allow pets to travel in the warmer or colder months.
I live in Alaska and travel all the time, with my dog, so I've had to check this out many times, well, every time I travel.  It pays to just go in and talk to them personally too.
Certainly not all airlines are this way, but Delta has been wonderful about my dogs.  If you will call the ones that are traveling through the south where you're traveling, then you can find out about the differences in the airlines and their policies and the conditions.  All airlines are not the same and cargo is not always a bad thing.

My dog is 30 lb. Pomerianian mix - is old & not in good health. Will look at Delta site but am not having any luck - is 10lbs. too big to put in carrier to stow under seat. Is too far to drive from SLC to CC Texas & bus & train do not allow animal travel. Thanks for your help, will check Delta again.
