Can You Have Or Adopt Children On The Sims 2 For PS2?

I've searched many websites hoping for a "Yes" and an explanation. I found a couple of people who have said yes and I tried what they said, and failed. So either I'm doing it wrong or they gave some bad advice. Please... HELP!

        If you go to the maid and wait it pops up if you want to adopt. But if you don't have a lot of money it wont let you

        To This Person Above Mii: I have read something online about going to the phone and clicking maid, and then
        you wait until it says would u like 2 hire a maid? And then u wait a while and then it changes to "do you want to adopt a child" 0r SOMETHING TO THAT EFFECT.

        Of course you can, just pick phone service, then hire a maid, and then she will ask you would you like to adopt a children!! I have his answer from the other answer!

          On the ps2 u cant even have children i have been playing it for ages dont listen to anything that says otherwise

          I have tried EVERY think that people have said and it dont work.....Just buy sims 3 on pc it's mich better and you can have a baby.

            Yes  you  can i  tried  to  adopt  and  have  kids  i  have  for  kids  and  two  adopted  kids  good  luck
