Who is he??? People are always talking about him, but I don't know why he's so important?

 There is a Philip Streich who won a prize at last year's international Science and Engineering Fair. There are probably others, but could this be the one you mean? You can learn more about him here.

 Philip is simply one of the world's most brilliant young scientists, having already made huge breakthroughs in nanoscience when he was only 15! This kid has become a celebrity among young science kids - he completely owned the international science fair competition these past 2 years with a record number of awards, including winning ISEF as a sophomore! When I met him this year at ISEF, I actually had to wait on a line to have my picture taken with him. It was amazing how modest and nice he is - he's become my hero! Check him out on Wikipedia:
