What Are The Different Types Of Comedy?

Hmm... Good question... Don't know what you are looking for as a response as the question is open to interpretation but I will give it a shot. First Greek or classic comedy and shakespearean comedy are radically different than other forms. Both of these are comedies as long as they have a happy ending basically, although shakespearean comedies have more of the typical comedic elements in many of them. Other than that; stand up comedy, physical comedy / slapstick, prop/gag comedy, situational comedy, and romantic comedy all come to mind as different forms. I am sure there are others I am missing.
