How would i take care of sunburn i put burn cream for sunburn on it that the doc gave me i put a cold rag on it i had sun poison when i woke up that was it how long generally do u have sun poison

I have sun poisoning ..tiny red spots on my skin..itches a bit,,how long does it take to cure it.
