What Is The British Performing Arts Yearbook?

Answer Question

The British Performing Arts Yearbook is a book aimed at providing those working in the performing arts, dance, drama and music with all of the up to date information that they need.  For this reason it is a costly item.  The Yearbook is essentially a directory of goods, services and institutions, from training institutions to venues, it allows someone wishing to buy a lantern or hire a venue in a particular part of Britain, the opportunity to find the most apt information for them.

The book contains precise details about venues, locations, managers name, box office, auditorium capacity and whether or not they will do a split on the box office or whether they are available for hire (only a good choice if you know you can fill it!)

The Yearbook is a fairly slim volume, about half the size of a yellow pages or phone book, it always comes out a little before it should and can never really be as up to date as it would like.  An internet version would perhaps be better.
