    There are a certain series of test that are required to be pass in one wants to become a firefighter. These include written test, medical test, physical test, oral test and a psychological test.

    In the written test, the applicant is supposed answer multiple choice questions on subjects such as comprehension, human relations, problem solving, judgment, math, memory, charts, reasoning, visualization, verbal and listening comprehension, spelling and communication.

    The physical test will check the person's stamina and capability of working in traumatic conditions. The person will be tested for lifting heavy weights, staying away from fire and burning down fire. Also he will be put to test in climbing heights and stairs in a quick time.

    In the medical test, the applicant's health will be graded by checking things such as blood pressure, sugar level, heart beat, breathing, height, weight and other things. This is just to check if the person is healthy enough and fit for the job or not.

    In the oral test, an interview will be conducted which will reveal the person's personality and questions will be asked regarding the choice of this career.

    In the psychological test, the person's personality will be gauged and the examiners will see if the person is fit to become a firefighter or not.
