Why Are Jewish Peoples Graves So Small In Length?

    I tried to correct my answer but i can not... It is not true that jewish people are buried standing up or seated facing east unless requested by the person or their family...the reason the graves or caskets are so small is usually a jewish person is buried in a simple wooden casket just big enough for the person.from what i could read.in other words they are buried in a modest way no flourish....
