    South Africa is a country located at the southernmost tip of the African continent. It falls south of the line of Tropic of Capricorn and is in the southern hemisphere of the earth. Its bordering countries are Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Swaziland. Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria and East London are the major cities in South Africa. Incidentally, it is the world's 25th largest country and boasts of a coastline 2500 kilometers long spanning across the Indian and the Atlantic oceans.

    South Africa is predominantly vast and flat with huge expanses of uninhabited land masses. Being a large country, it experiences diverse climatic conditions – ranging from continental to sub tropical climates. South Africa is famous for diamond and gold mines and is the most developed economy in the African continent.
