    The software in call centers are especially designed for the call centers. They can be from simple to complex and there are various ways through which the software for a call centers is selected. The software depends on how many phone calls are handled by a center, budget resources and many other things. There is not any technical term for software used in call centers.

    Now, coming towards the second part of your question. Basically a call center agent is the person who handles the calls over there. There are various technical terms which are used for these agents in different centers. Call center agent is also called as operator, associate, attendant, telephone sales or service representative (TSR),customer service representative (CSR), and account executive. In most of the call centers the technical name for a call center agent is telephone sales or service representative (TSR).
