Chanel purses are never made of lambskin always calfskin. To tell the difference just feel the bag!! If the leather is soft but elegant it is lambskin. And always look for an authorization tag. New Chanel purses have an eight digit code that you can register but older ones have a six or seven digit code. And another give away is the CC icon. The top of the right C should over lap the left and the bottom of the left C should over lap the right!!!! Big give away. Also look at the stitching!!!! Do not buy Chanel from an unlicensed dealer!! You can find a nice Chanel purse for a reasonable price at your locat Nordstrom. DONT YOU DARE BUY FAKE PURSES!!!!! You would be donating to the poor working conditions in china and India. We don't want that do we. Ha. Oh and one more big giveaway. Look at the tag on your purse. If it is written in English but backwards (that's how the Chinese read) then it is fake. It should also say CHANEL France or Italy not Paris or Japan... Be careful!

You can't buy Chanel from Nordstrom. You can only buy Chanel from a Chanel boutique. That's the only place you should buy it from. And no you can't buy Chanel at reasonable prices anywhere.

There was a comment that chanel bags are only made of CALFSKIN. I beg to disagree. There us a model of a classic quilted flap bag that is made of LAMBSKIN, in pink. So I think, do not make a generalization. Research their website, it is available online.
