What Is The Best Way To Archive Genealogy Documents?

Answer Question

I have an idea the best way is to begin small and plan to have fun with the work involved.

Bur be aware you are looking at a long term project. If you can project the involvement as enjoyable you are guaranteed to get company and what the enterprise requires a team approach anyway.

A good way to begin is with a bar-b-que in warm weather and covered dish get togethers in the cooler weather.

As branches seem to develop allow people to share the excitement by adopting the work of running down leads on the branches; keep it fun and the thing will begin to take off with a life of it own.

Don't forget to keep the younger people in the loop with their computer skills. After all what you are on to is a legacy to be passed on. The experience gained by the younger set will pay of as they decide to "run with the ball" later on...

So with your team in place you can hit the libraries, old newspapers, church and other cemeteries, city hall records, sailing ship records, obituaryarchives, school records and make lots of friends as you do all the above.
