How Did The Dinosaur Become Extinct?

Answer Question

4 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Extinction means the ending of a complete species of living organism. Many living organisms have become extinct. Dodo Bird and Heath Hen in birds, Dinosaurs in reptiles, Tasmanian Tigers in Mammals and the Broad-leaved Centaury in plants have become extinct.
Scientists and Archeologists have put forward many theories about the causes of extinction of Dinosaurs. The main reason being that Dinosaurs existed about 6 million years before man actually inhabited the Earth.

One of the main theories put forward by scientists is that an asteroid hit the Earth millions of years ago. It threw up so much dust that the rays of the Sun were blocked. The Earth grew dark, and as sunlight is necessary for life, plants began to die out. As these were the main sources of energy for Herbivore Dinosaurs, they also started to starve, and the Carnivores also died due to the lack of prey i.e. Herbivore Dinosaurs.

Another theory is that the Asteroid caused an explosion so great that the big animals at that time i.e. Dinosaurs, were wiped off. Other smaller animals, that took refuge underground e.g. Snakes and Mice, were saved. Some scientists also believe that the Earth might have grown too hot for the Dinosaurs to survive.

Well I guess this could depend on a person's religious beliefs. I am a religious person so my belief may differ from others'. I believe dinosaurs were created by God to get the land ready for humans. They were there to stomp down the ground to make it more even and to clear away some of the plants and trees. When the land was ready then God didn't have a purpose for them anymore. He had to put the dinosaurs to rest so that humans could now live on earth. I don't know the exact way the dinosaurs died; I just know the reason for their life and death.

When a meteor hit the earth. The impact blocked out the sun, in which the dust went to the atmosphere. The atmosphere had no sun which caused the plants to die, in result the dinosaurs had no food.
