Why Are Kangaroos Found Only In Australia?

A kangaroo is a marsupial from the relations Macropodidae. In widespread use the term is used to explain the main species from this kin, the Red Kangaroo, the Antilopine Kangaroo, and the Eastern and Western Grey Kangaroo of the Macropus type. The family too includes many slighter species which include the wallabies, tree-kangaroos, wallaroos, pademelons and the Quokka, some 63 livelihood species in all. In general, better kangaroos have tailored much better to changes shaped to the Australian scenery by humans, as many of their slighter cousins are endangered.

However in attendance is considerable controversy over young of kangaroos for meat. Kangaroos are prevalent to the continent of Australia, while the lesser macropods are found in Australia and New Guinea. But the placenta] mammals were more successful than the marsupials. Their brains were superior, and it was also better for the young to develop inside the mother's body than in a pouch.
In most parts of the world the marsupials disappeared. They could not compete for living places with the other mammals. But this did not happen in Australia and South America,
Scientists believe that Australia was once linked to South-Eastern Asia. This may have been with a chain of islands or an isthmus. So marsupials spread into Australia at a time when there were no advanced placental mammals there. They did not have any competition, so they flourished and evolved in many forms.

Australia split off from the great landmass called Gondwanaland, some 60 million years ago, due to continental drift.

As a result, marsupial speciation expanded significantly in Australia compared with other countries.
