Harrods the name which has become synonymous for departmental stores is a landmark that one can simply not miss. Located at Knightsbridge in one of the most happening parts of London it is situated on Brompton Road opposite Sloane Street both of which are particularly famous for their fashion stores and designer boutiques promising the very best and the latest in the world of fashion.

The streets surrounding Harrods are Hans Road, Basil Street and Hans Crescent. Other major streets located nearby are Pont Street and Beauchamp Place.

The area is easily accessible as a number of buses (routes C1, 74 and 14) stop near Harrods while the Knightsbridge London Underground tube station is located just next to the store on the Piccadilly line. The area includes a number of restaurants, hotels and museums and of course Harrods the single largest crowd puller in the whole area.

The terracotta building itself is an architectural masterpiece built way back in 1905 not to mention the fairy land within where you get everything as they say from pen to piano. The Food Hall, the Egyptian hall and the toy department among others are a must see.
