    Munich is the capital city of Bavaria, in Germany.  The city lies alongside the Isar River. The 19th century saw the city of Munich developing into a centre of theatre and music. Munich suffered a lot during the World War II.  It was bombarded heavily from the Allied artillery. Only a few medieval structures were able to survive, especially the town hall and the cathedral. Now Munich is famous as an industrial centre and a site where trade, education and culture flourishes.

    Munich is known to produce electrical appliances, clothing, motor vehicles and chemicals. The city is known for many a museum and also boasts of ale and beer industry. It is also one of Europe's biggest wholesale markets. A new airport to handle both domestic and international flight was opened lately in the year 1992.
