Your question is not clear. If you are a Mexican Citizen and living in Los Angeles and your visa is expired then you can go to your country with no trouble. However, you can't come back to Los Angeles very easily again. If your passport is expired then you can contact your country's consulate to apply for a new one.

Yes you can go back to you home country. That would be the thing to do especially if your visa ran out.
