You have to be in full withdrawal in order for Suboxone to work properly. Doctors recommend 24 hours w/o using heroin before you take Suboxone. If you take it and are not in full withdrawal, it will actually have the opposite effect and put you in withdrawal.

Some places put you on methadone for herion, I'm not suggesting you do this, but I do know this happens, suboxone is probably a safer drug and from what I've read and heard the answer from Krystald30 also goes along with what I've read. Please follow your doctor's advice on how to do this.
