Answer Question

I'll give you the light version.

The Pentateuch is the first five books of the Bible. Tells of how it all began and God's work through his chosen people through whom he would bring salvation to fallen man.
The Historical Books relate to the rise and fall of the theocracy, the captives of Israel and Judah, the return to the promised land and the restoration of the Temple and the city of Jerusalem.
The Poetic and Wisdom Books are Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, and Lamentations. They portray the experiences of the people of God.
The Prophetic Books contain twofold messages, one was local for the prophets time and the other was predictive of God's will for the future.

God's plan of salvation through Jesus is woven throughout the Old Testament from the first to the last. Luke 24:27 "And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded to them, in all the scriptures, the things concerning himself."
