How Did Agriculture First Start?

    Agriculture is basically  the process that deals with production of food, fibers and other goods through methods of farming and forestry. Agriculture has played a key part in development of nations.

    The history of agriculture dates back to 10,000 years ago. Since then it has expanded throughout the world. The earliest planned sowing and harvesting of plants was done in the Middle East. These plants have been gathered by man in the wild before start of planned farming of these plants. However, northern and southern China, Africa, New Guinea and several regions of America have also shown traces of independent farming.

    The first sown crop was Barley. The traces of which has been found in archeological sites present in levant and East of Zagros in Iran.
