    HIV or Human Immunodeficiency Virus is basically a lentivirus that results in AIDS. In this disease the immune system of human beings begins to fail which leads to life-threatening infections.

    The earliest symptoms of HIV infection occur between six weeks to three months after a person gets the infection. The earliest symptoms are flu-like. However, in some people even this is absent.

    Other severe symptoms that appear after some time include:
    - Fever and night sweats
    - Extreme exhaustion
    - Body rashes
    - Unexplained weight loss
    - Chronic diarrhea
    - Chronic yeast infections.
