Do you want to run a business in the United Kingdom? Well, how much you pay in business tax will vary according to the profits your business will make. The UK uses a single business tax system (rising up to 30%), that adapts to both local and foreign corporations. Corporations who have made less profit can enjoy a favorable tax rate. For example, corporations who make less than £10,000 per annum will pay no tax, whereas a company making over £1,500,000 must pay 30% tax.
However, under certain conditions, branches of a foreign corporation in the UK cannot enjoy the lower tax rates. For settled branches of Chinese corporations, the UK tax office would allocate the right to pay a lower tax rate according to certain legal clauses, in order to avoid double tax imposing between the two countries.
