    Linear expansivity of a substance is the fractional change in length/volume/area per unit change in temperature at a given constant pressure.
    The formula of linear expansivity of solid is ,

    Lf =  Li [1 + a (Change in T)]


    where T is temperature and Li is initial length.
    And a is constant linear expansivity of the metal.
