Where Is Glacial Lake Algonquin?

    The Glacial Lake of Algonquin was said to be a proglacial lake. The Lake of Algonquin existed it the Eastern Central part of North America. The lake existed in this region during the time of the last Ice Age. Now the Lake of Algonquin is divided into various lakes such as; the Georgian Bay, the Lake of Huron and some inland parts of Northern Michigan. It is said to be the biggest lake at that time, before the post glacial period, however it gradually shrunk to the size of the current lakes of Georgian Bay and Lake Huron. The lake was present in the time which was known as 'Pleistocene Epoch', this era was roughly about 1,600,000 to 10,000 years ago. It was also known as the Laurentide Ice Sheet.
