I'm Confused About The 7 Days Before Mens And 7 After Mens. So Can Anybody Can Tell Me About That?

Ovulation takes place at mid of the cycle e.g. If you have 28 days cycle then your ovulation day can be day 14 under normal conditions. Egg has a life of 24 hours and sperms can wait for egg in fallopian tubes for 5-7 days. So, if ovulation takes place at mid of the cycle then 7 days before periods are safe days and chances of pregnancy are poor during this period because at this time egg is not alive. I am not convinced about safe period 7 days after periods. During this period, pregnancy can occur even ovulation occur at mid of cycle because sperms can remain alive in fallopian tubes for 5-7 days and can fertilize the egg.
All above description is based upon normal conditions. In some ladies, ovulation can occur earlier and in some later. In such ladies, prediction of ovulation is difficult. In my opinion, if you want to get pregnant then get vaginal ultrasound on the 12^th day of the period to know about expected date of ovulation.
