MRSA is a staph infection and if he has been diagnosed by a physician, I would think that your physician would advise you to do that, as there are necessary precautions to take with patients diagnosed with MRSA.  Good-Luck

My husband also has mrsa.  He was diagnosed over a year ago.  We find that the usual precautions you take with someone who has a cold are also the precautions you need to take with this.  Wash your hands frequently and just keep everything he uses clean.  If he has an open mrsa sore keep it covered if possible.  His daughter and I come in contact with him every day and have had NO PROBLEMS AT  ALL.
I agree with Damm3, your doctor should fill you in on any questions.  It is a horrible thing but it seems its something others can live with.  I wish you luck and love.  Take care of him.
