The only face wash that worked for me was Cetaphil. It comes in a white bottle that pumps and has a blue label. The face wash is a DREAM COME TRUE and the good news is it's about 5 bucks a container. I most definitely recommend it, it's the only thing that worked for me. I actually heard about it when I was shopping for acne face washes. I asked this lady in the aisle if she knew if any of these darn things actually work lol...she said a dermitologist recommended that to her and said it was the best thing besides perscriptions. It doesn't dry out your face either. It's great, give it about 2-3 days to start seeing progress.

There are some natural ways to help cure acne, without having to buy expensive creams and medical products. For example, some people apply toothpaste to the affected areas. Try to make sure that you are using plain, white mint-flavoured toothpaste.

There are two ways to use this method. First, you can apply it before going to sleep at night and then simply wash your face in the morning. This may, however, irritate or dry sensitive skin. In this case, the other option is to simply leave the toothpaste on for about 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water. This method should help dry your acne and is especially effective on the face.

Another useful treatment can be to wash your face with a combination of baking soda and Ivory soap. Ivory soap is good because it tends to be much drier than Dove and will help remove excess moisture from your skin. Both of these products will dry your skin and may result in some temporary redness or mild peeling.

The above answer is helpful, however, it all depends on your skin. Dry skin also causes acne because the dead cells get stuck in your pores and cause more bacterial "back up"...so it's not a good idea to just try and dry your face out.
