The fact you are an American citizen means there are laws which offer protection for you.. Among those laws is the law by which a youth can petition for termination of rights of the parents, at any age. This is a very involved process which requires the help of various agencies as well as an attorney.
Being in school is not a deterrent against such a process, since in such a case, another adult accepts the responsibilities of parenthood. Which means this person would be responsible for your needs including providing for continued education.
First talk with a school counselor, a grandparent or other relative, providing solid evidence against your parents. If you are angry with your parents, disagree with their decisions or feel they do not understand you, then there are steps to resolve this conflict. If you are being abused, you need to seek help today.
