How To Take Care Of Bamboo?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Bamboo has innumerable uses and it is very hardy, low maintenance grass adding a scenic beauty to nature. There are a few steps required for the proper care of bamboo.
In the first place if it is planted on the ground, then water should be poured twice a week. Bamboo loves a lot of water, so more water will help develop healthier roots. But care needs to be taken because too much water causes the roots to rot.
Adding 2 to 3 inches of mulch gives stability to the trees. Bamboo loves the stability of temperature and soil moisture that is provided by the mulch. But adding too much can cause rodents to nest in it. Fertilizing the bamboo with nitrogen fertilizer during the summer season is required. In winter months it is not needed.
