The Sun is one of the most widely circulated English language newspapers in the world; it is published by News Group International a part of media mogul Rupert Murdoch's empire.
The earlier Editor of the newspaper was David Yelland while the present editor of the tabloid is Rebekah Wade who became the youngest editor when she attained the post in 2003 at the age of 37 years and was also the first ever woman to become editor in the paper's history.
Wade was Mr.Yelland's deputy for a little while. As Current Editor she made eye catching curiosity generating news by pursing and then identifying paedophiles activities. This all happened after the up roar caused by the brutal murder of young Sarah Payne.
Wade was in the news for wrong personal reasons. The charge against her was an assault on her husband, the famous actor Ross Kemp for which she was taken into police custody.
