Which Book Of Ken Follett Is Set Partly In Post Revolution Iran?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The novel called On Wings of Eagles written by Ken Follett in the year 1983 around four years after the Islamic Revolution in Iran is set in part in Iran. The book was a best seller and is considered as one of the better works of the author.

It seems that the author tried to capitalize on the fact that people needed some good news from the Middle East besides the Iran Iraq war. The book was non-fiction and dealt with the two employees of American origin working for EDS, a company run by Ross Perot, who are successfully rescued from Iran. The book was written as a classic thriller.

The hostages from the American embassy in Tehran had been recently released and the memory of the failed attempt to rescue them was still fresh in people's minds.
