Moishe the Beadle was a poor jew who used to live in Sighet. He was Eliezer's teacher for Jewish Mysticism. He was deported but he escaped back to tell everyone about the Nazis and their tortures to the jews. However, His community thinks him as a lunatic.

After he tries to make everybody warned, nobody beileves him. Then finnaly they belive when the officials come and expell them from there homes. That was the only reason he came back, to warn everyone what was going to happen.
