1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The United Kingdom of Great Britain has produced some good basketball players. Steve Lee Bucknall, a British basketball player was the first Englishman to play in the National Basketball Association (NBA) league for the Los Angeles Lakers. He plays basket ball for Leicester Riders as a guard. He was part of the British Basketball team which won the bronze medal in 2006 Commonwealth Games held in Melbourne, Australia. He works as a community sports coach in the city of Lewisham.

Another good basketball player is Joel Freeman. Joel is also from England and had been selected in the 2006 National Basketball Association Draft. He plays as a power forward as well as in the centre. Comparisons have been drawn between him and David Lee of New York Knicks with regards to their playing styles.
